Perth’s favourite playground, the Swan River winds from the Darling Scarp to Fremantle. This beautiful waterway is a local favourite for boating, fishing, paddling, swimming, picnics and taking in the view. Known as Derbal Yerrigan by the traditional owners, the river is said to have been created by the rainbow serpent Waugal, a dreamtime spirit in the form of a giant snake.
Enjoy the relaxed, laid-back atmosphere of Rottnest Island, just off the Perth coast. After cruising down the Swan River and across the open ocean, you’ll arrive ready for a full day of exploring. Ride around the island by bike (no cars allowed), discover quiet beaches, snorkel the reefs and meet the iconic Quokkas.
